Sustainability is an important concern for us.

Sustainability is firmly anchored in our corporate policy and determines our daily action. We support the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals and focus on solutions that combine economic growth with environmental responsibility and social justice. All areas of our company work together to develop innovative, sustainable products - with a holistic approach that includes renewable raw materials, resource-conserving processes and sustainable packaging. Sustainability at Alberdingk Boley.

Our Senior VP of New Business and Product Management, who is responsible for sustainability at Alberdingk Boley, says: “Sustainability has long been part of our DNA and we endeavour to bring this issue to the forefront for our customers. We are working hard to reduce our environmental footprint, for example by using renewable resources.”

Our sustainability team:

The team around Siema Lange, Sustainability Manager, agrees: environmental protection is a social duty and a matter close to our hearts. Sustainability characterises our corporate culture and decisions. We are continuously reducing our ecological footprint and focussing on sustainable raw materials.

We take care in the supply chain, work closely with partners and ensure transparency and responsibility. Our aim is to raise standards and inspire customers and suppliers to join us in shaping change, because sustainable behaviour is the key to a future worth living.

Green electricity for Alberdingk Boley.

An example for sustainability in our company is the transition to green electricity. Our plant in Leuna covers produces approx. 1/3 of its annual requirements with green electricity. Green electricity also powers the e-charging stations at our Krefeld site, which are highly popular among both employees and visitors.

Sustainable mobility.

All our company cars are electric and run on green electricity. Through Jobrad Alberdingk Boley enables all employees to lease a bicycle or e-bike at low cost as part of the company health management programme. In this way, we sensitise our employees to make a contribution to reducing CO₂ emissions by switching from cars to bicycles. Switching to a bicycle also has a lasting effect on health!
